Why the Bottom Wraps Matter

The correct number of lower wraps depends on the load weight, pallet condition, film setting and transportation requirements. Avoid covering forklift openings or creating loose film near the pallet base.

Using Edge Protectors and Strapping

Stretch film may be combined with edge protectors, corner boards and strapping when a pallet requires additional stabilization.

Edge protectors can reinforce carton corners, improve stacking alignment and reduce film punctures. Strapping can provide vertical or horizontal load reinforcement for suitable products.

Stretch film should not automatically replace strapping when the load, transportation method or customer requirements specify banding.
